FAQs

Below is a list of questions from a recent resident meeting.

Under the PACT program all current residents on a lease automatically qualify for Project Based Section 8.

It is anticipated that during most of the renovation tenants will remain in their apartments. Hospitality suites will be provided as a respite during working hours. Some work may require coordinated and paid for temporary moves to an on-site or nearby apartment which will be coordinated by the MNP/W PACT team.

The MNP/W PACT team, including Wavecrest, will begin to operate the building at property conversion which is currently anticipated for summer 2024. NYCHA property management will continue to service the property until that time.

Construction is expected to start sometime in 2024.

The renovation will include new front doors with access control and new security cameras and lighting inside and outside the building. The property will have an on-site manager and super.

All apartments will get new or restored bathtubs. As part of the overall unit survey, residents can identify if they have special needs such as a step in or roll in tub and/or grab bars. Priority apartments will be identified with a medical note.
Everyone will have a thermostat.
No, electricity will not be paid by tenants if it isn’t currently. No hidden surprises
If there is a family member living with you that is not currently on the lease, go to NYCHA to have them put on the lease – if this is in compliance with NYCHA rules.

The doors will have a key fob. The only people who will get a key fob are the people on the lease. Fobs cannot be
duplicated. If you ask for a new one, the old one will be deactivated. There will be
cameras and new intercoms. Cameras will be located all throughout the building and
stairwells.
