What We Do
Ascendant Neighborhood Development renovates and redevelops vacant and underutilized buildings to provide much-needed housing in communities across New York City. We rehabilitate and refinance our existing buildings to preserve long-term affordability and enhance our residents’ quality of life. We are launching new and innovative projects that will expand housing opportunity for all.

About Us
MDG Design + Construction LLC (“MDG”) is a leading community-centered real estate firm with a 30-year track record of developing, constructing, and managing high quality affordable housing that residents are proud to live in. MDG works jointly with developers, community groups, building managers, and tenant organizations.
What We Do
Since its formation in 1988, MDG and their affiliates have been involved in the renovation and/or new construction of over 850 different buildings with more than 20,000 units at a construction cost of over $2 billion. MDG continues to focus on helping revitalize developments and improve the lives of the people residing in those communities. In the past three years, MDG has substantially completed the development and/or construction of over 5,000 units (including 3,675 RAD units, with another 1,630 RAD units either in pre-development or under construction).

What We Do
As one of the largest management companies in New York City, overseeing more than 23,000 units in buildings of all sizes, the Wavecrest team takes a personal approach to our work, holding ourselves responsible for the efficient, diligent, and considerate administration of all building operations. Wavecrest provides our residents with the respect, attention, and assistance needed to maintain a safe, clean, and well-cared-for place to live. We partner with a variety of community organizations and social service programs to offer access to food pantries, educational enrichment services, mental health clinics, youth employment programs, and events and initiatives aimed at increasing community engagement and quality of life.
